The Department of Sociology at New York University invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in any area of specialization, but more senior candidates may also be considered under certain circumstances. Candidates should have an active program of research in progress. We are open to candidates in any area of specialization, who use any methodological approach. Responsibilities include research, undergraduate and graduate teaching, and service. A strong commitment to teaching undergraduate and graduate students is essential. Position is to begin September 1, 2020, subject to budgetary and administrative approval.
