Windows 10 Division Migration Project Manager New York, NY 12 months contract minimum Experience: 5-7 years Program Summary: Windows 7 is end of life in January 2020 and the bank needs to be upgraded globally to provide a stable and fully supported desktop environment. The Program aims to migrate all Divisions from Windows 7 to Windows 10 before June 2020. Position Role and Responsibilities: The Division Migration Project Manager will be responsible for the global deployment of a Division to Windows 10. The successful candidate will; -Engage with senior business leaders in Division(s) to develop the strategy for their migrations to Windows 10 -Project manage the migration of one or multiple Divisions to Windows 10 -Create and manage a deployment plan per Division -Provide Division requirements to the Regional Deployment Leads and the Deployment vendor -Liaise with the Migration Planning Data Analyst to derive user lists and software licensing requirements -Schedule pilot, UAT and full scale migrations with the Division Lead and Regional Deployment Leads -Work with the Division and training team to ensure users are trained in advance of their migration -Act as the first escalation point of contact for global Division deployment issues -Provide updates to the Global Project Manager, Division Engagement Lead and PMO -Adhere to the Reporting schedules set by the Program -Provide communication updates to stakeholders in a timely manner -Task management of the Migration engineers Key SkillsExperience: -Ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders across geographical & functional boundaries with conflicting priorities. -This person will be required to liaise with Divisions at all levels and extract business requirements in a structured manner. -They will need to communicate requirements to the Global Project Manager -They will also be required to evaluate and negotiate the balance between delivery of business requirements and achieving deadlines and targets. -Needs to possess the credibility and maturity necessary to build productive partnerships and professional relationships at a senior-level of the organization -Any successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience of leading technology migration projects and understand the complexities and issues that result from such initiatives -This role requires an individual with strong communication skills. -The successful candidate will need to be able to clearly articulate objectives, requirements and risks & issues. -The role involves preparing and delivering presentations on a regular basis so a confidence in communication and delivery is important -Must be able to effectively communicate in both business and technical contexts -The ideal candidate may have 5 years - Project management experience -Prior experience working in financial services or consulting firm required -Would prefer candidates who have worked on desktop transformation Programs previously -Experience with Juriba DashWorks a strong plus -Excellent Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint skills required -SharePoint experience a plus
